Review: Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser

Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser claims to smooth over and fill in your pores, giving you baby skin instantly.
It is almost the same size as the Benefit 's Porefessional .

This products comes out as a clear and gel-like formula. (It feels like gel but with a more solid consistency) It contains a certain amount of silicone which is where the blurring effect comes from.

I use this product under my makeup and ohmygosh. I will never apply makeup without using a primer ever again.
This product smooths out my skin, allowing my foundation to just slide on and blend soo easily. It did not give me "pore-less" skin, but it does make everything look less visible.
It has a gel-like consistency and gives a smooth and satin finish.
I also found that this controls the oil on my face a little, allowing make up to last even longer. This might be the reason it said in the ad above, that it can be used alone.

I feel like students , who are not allowed to wear makeup to school, could definitely benefit from using this alone if they have oily skin and would like to have a little oil control without the use of makeup. I mean, its clear. And fragrance free.

I do not use this all over my face, I focus this on my nose and forehead area, where I tend to get oily and also to smooth out the visible pores on my nose area.

This did have a slight 'balling up' effect when I applied this. I am not sure if its because of the moisturizer I use and this product were not compatible , or is it just a common problem.
My solution to this is to simply use an appropriate amount (not too much) and really blend it out. This usually gives me the effect I want.

This product does what it claims of smoothing out pores and has some oil control. It allows makeup to glide on and be blended super easily.
However, it does not do anything more than that. It does not give a radiant glow to your face, and nor does it claim to do so.

Overall, a great product and its quite affordable and can be easily found in many stores.

Review: Innisfree Long Wear Cushion [Limited Edition]

Cushion foundations are all the rage  now, due to the ease of application and light weight formula. I personally love cushion foundations!

I will be reviewing the Innisfree Long Wear Cushion today.
As many of you might know, Innisfree has 2 types of cushions. Namely Waterglow cushion and Long Wear cushion. One meant for dry skin/ for a dewy finish, the other for oily skin / matte finish.

Although I have normal-combination skin, I chose the latter, because Singapore.
I bought mine while there was an offer, and I got hooked because of the words "Limited Edition".

This is what mine looks like, it came with a free refill and a flowery design. looooove.

It even has a flower top, how adorable!

The Shade
They do not have a very wide range of shades available, especially in Singapore. There are only 3~4 shades available if I am not wrong.
I am in the shade #13, the lightest shade. I did realize that the shade runs just a little lighter than normal. (I'm using #13 for the Laneige bb cushion, and it fits my skin perfectly.)
I was okay with it being slightly lighter since it wasn't super pale on my face and I quite liked that 'brightening' effect. (:

Coverage
Personally, I found the coverage to be quite high and there were even days where I just patted this on and was done with foundation. It did not quite cover my dark circles, but it did a good enough job for me on a lazy day. ^^
However, for people that prefer higher coverage, this might not be enough.

Long-lasing & matte ?
As it claims, this product has a beautiful matte finish and controls the oils on my face nicely. I experimented by not setting this foundation with a powder, and it still held up throughout the day!!
For me, this foundation lasted the entire day and required no touching ups.

Packaging
Super adorable, super convenient and I love to carry this around for a just-in-case touch ups and as a mirror. I love the air puff technology and use it to blend alllll my other foundations and concealers. The Innisfree air puff was slightly harder than the other air puffs I've used.

Overall
Ever since I got it, I have been using it everyday because it's that good. Especially since it's summer all year round in Singapore.

I would recommend this to people with oily skin, for more severe cases of oily skin you would need to set it with a powder.

I would not recommend this to people with dry skin. This product will emphasis your dry skin. You can still use this product but make sure to moisturize really really well before application.
I have normal-combination skin , with a few dry patches on my cheeks. This product emphasizes them and makes them appear flaky. But by moisturizing well before applying this foundation, it cures the problem of flaky skin and makes the skin appear healthier and plump.
